The Rangers are five points behind Philadelphia for the lead in the Atlantic division, and are one-point behind Pittsburgh for second place. The Rangers have a game in hand on both teams.
The Rangers play Friday and Saturday so expect Martin Biron to start one of the two games in relief of Henrik Lundqvist.
