New York Rangers At Colorado Avalanche: Rangers Looking For Revenge Tonight

The New York Rangers wil face the Colorado Avalanche for the second time this season tonight, as the Rangers look to extract revenge for their loss to the Avalanche earlier in the year.

The Rangers -- who are coming off a 3-2 loss to the Boston Bruins -- have won three of their last four, and are looking to make it four of their last five. The Rangers are five points behind Philadelphia for the lead in the Atlantic division, and are one-point behind Pittsburgh for second place. The Rangers have a game in hand on both teams.

The Rangers play Friday and Saturday so expect Martin Biron to start one of the two games in relief of Henrik Lundqvist.

The Rangers are 6-2-0 on the road this year. It's at home where they have had their problems. But that's good news tonight as the Rangers take on the Avalanche at the Pepsi Center tonight. Expect Marian Gaborik, Alexander Frolov and Artem Anisimov to be big part of the Rangers offense.

Brandon Dubinsky and Gabroik were the goal scorers the other night. Derek Stepan also added his third assist in as many games, as he continues to bounce back from his tiny midseason slump.

The Rangers will look to improve their record to 11-8-1 on the year with a win tonight. The Rangers play Saturday at Minnesota as well.
