Former Rangers' coach Tom Renney will be returning to Madison Square Garden tonight, in the New York Rangers matinee against the Edmonton Oilers.
The Rangers -- who are coming off an OT win against the Buffalo Sabres -- will be looking to improve their record to 9-7-1 on the season.
Artem Anisimov was the hero for the Rangers against the Oilers. The young center tallied twice in the contest, including the overtime winner. Martin Biron also played well in place of an ill Henrik Lundqvist. That will be the case this afternoon as well, as Lundqvist recovers from flu-like symptoms.
Ryan Callahan and Brandon Dubinsky will also be expected to play big roles for the Rangers this afternoon. And don't forget about Marian Gaborik, who returned from his shoulder injury against the Sabres the other day.
The Rangers are looking to play some more consistent hockey, with the team not being able to rally off any big winning streaks thus far this season. They will look to double their current winning streak with a win over Edmonton.
