Tuesday, the Knicks host Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic. Thursday, the Knicks travel to Chicago to take on Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah and the Chicago Bulls. Then they will return home for games at Madison Square Garden Friday against the Washington Wizards and Sunday vs. the Philadelphia 76ers.
Through three games the Knicks have gotten the kind of production they hoped for from $100 million free-agent forward Amare Stoudemire, as he has averaged 21.3 points and 7.7 rebounds. Wilson Chandler is averaging 21 points and 10 rebounds per game. Free-agent point guard Raymond Felton averaged 16 points and 5.7 assists through the first three games.
The Knicks should get help this week as 6-foot-11 center Anthony Randolph is expected to return to the lineup after missing the first three games with a sprained left ankle. Randolph was acquired in an offseasn trade involving David Lee.
