The New York Jets got back to practice Monday following their bye week, and the best news for them was that cornerback Darrelle Revis feels healthy after a week to rest his damaged hamstring.
"I’m ready to go. I’ll be there Sunday," Revis said Monday. "We did everything we could this week. The (bye) week helped out for me to stay up here and get all the treatment that I needed to get, so I’m ready to go."
Revis, who has missed three of the 5-1 Jets six games this season due to the hamstring problem, says this is the healthiest he has felt since he was initially injured.Week 1 against New England.
"The last month, there’s been a lot of stuff going on.I also came in late, but now, I can settle in and just play football," Revis said. "This was a good week of rest for me."
If Revis is healthy and able to get back to the form helped coin the phrase 'Revis Island' and made him possibly the game's best cornerback that is bad news for the rest of the AFC.
