- Well, that's it for the Yanks this season. The Bombers went down in Game #6 of the American League Championship series, losing 6-1 Texas down in Arlington last night. Texas will go to their first World Series. The Rangers struck early with some smallball, but the Yanks tied it up on a wild pitch that, on replay look, pretty obviously hit Nick Swisher. So the Yankees appeared to have karma on their side. However, it was obvious that they gave it up when the walked Josh Hamilton for the second of three times last night, only to see Vladimir Guerrero rock a two-run double, and then Nelson Cruz a rocket of a home run that seemed to have the soundtrack of "The Natural" playing in the background. Phil Hughes was long gone by then, and so were the Yanks chances. Just not enough this time around. Pinstripe Alley recaps. ↵
