SB Nation NFL Power Rankings: Jets No. 1, Giants Climbing

New, 1 comment

The New York Jets are No. 1 in the SBNation.com NFL Power Rankings for the second consecutive week. The New York Giants climbed to their highest ranking to date, No. 9, after their third straight victory.

The 5-1 Jets escaped Denver with a somewhat fortunate 24-20 victory Sunday, remaining in front of No. 2 New England and No. 3 Pittsburgh.

Here is what the folks at the SB Nation mothership had to say about Gang Green. It's a simple declaration.

Rex Ryan was right. This is the best team in football.

The Giants moved up from 12th to 9th after a 28-20 victory over Detroit. The Giants are now the second-ranked team in the NFC, behind only the defending Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints, who are No. 5 overall.

Here is what SB Nation said about Big Blue.

Just a few weeks ago I thought New York fans were going to explode and Tom Coughlin was on the hot seat. Now? They're in the hunt for best in the NFC.
