Islanders Look to Rebound Against Colorado

UNIONDALE, NEW YORK - After a tough loss in overtime last night, the Islanders look to rebound back at the Coliseum against the Colorado Avalanche, who held on to beat New Jersey last night despite being outshot 44-22.

The Isles look for their second win of the season, and second straight at home after beating the Rangers in Uniondale on Monday afternoon. The Avs look to win their third straight on the road, with a shootout victory in Detroit on Tuesday before the aforementioned win in Newark last night.

The Islanders will welcome back John Tavares, who has been recovering from a concussion the past week, and Dwayne Roloson will start in net, with the game being the second in two nights. Roloson's making his second start of the season, the first being Wednesday's loss in Washington. Trent Hunter will miss tonight's game with a foot injury.

Josh Bailey leads the Isles in scoring, with five points (2G, 3A). John-Michael Liles has six assists to lead Colorado in points. Craig Anderson will start for the second consecutive night for the Avalanche. He's 2-10-0 with a 2.64 goals against and a .932 Save %. Adam Foote will get the night off for Colorado, though he is not injured, according to the Denver Post. Jonas Holos will play in his place.
