He gets criticized for not shipping off the veterans when the Giants were supposed to be in rebuilding mode. He gets bashed for not trading Jonathan Sanchez last year for a bat, or making any big deal at the deadline. It's not a stretch to say that it's against Sabean, Baer, and Neukom's better judgment that the Giants are trading their top pitching prospect, Zack Wheeler, to the Mets, for 2 months of Carlos Beltran and his parade of doubles.
