Stay connected for news and updates

DePaul jumped out to a huge halftime lead, and never looked back on Saturday evening against Seton Hall, earning their third Big East victory of the year by routing the Pirates 86-58.

Freshman Jamee Crockett, a Chicago native, came off the bench to score a career-high 21 points, and he was one of four Blue Demons to score in double figures. Senior Jeremiah Kelly chipped in with 15 points and 10 assists, and DePaul dominated the glass, outrebounding Seton Hall 33-21.

The Pirates were led by 16 points from Herb Pope, who was joined by Jordan Theodore as the only double-digit scorers for Seton Hall. The loss was Seton Hall's third in four games, and they finish the Big East conference play 8-10, and ninth overall.

DePaul, who had lost nine straight games coming into Saturday, finished just 3-15 in conference play for the regular season, and last overall in the Big East.

Both teams will play in Tuesday's opening round action of the Big East tournament, to be held at Madison Square Garden.
