The No. 2-ranked Syracuse Orange cruised past the St. John's Red Storm Saturday, 90-75, in a Big East Conference men's basketball game at Madison Square Garden. The Orange (23-1, 10-1 Big East) trailed 7-2 early but used multiple double-digit runs, which included a lot of dunks, alley-oops and more dunks to help claim their third straight victory. The win also helped SU head coach Jim Boeheim collect his 879th career, a mark tying him with legendary North Carolina Tar Heels head coach Dean Smith for third all-time on the Division I list.
