Stay connected for news and updates

The Seton Hall Pirates saw their modest three game winning streak end on Saturday, when they lost to the Cincinnati Bearcats by a final score of 62-57. The loss drops Seton Hall to 18-9 overall and 7-8 in the Big East. With only three games remaining the Pirates find themselves looking up at eight teams in the standings, including Cincinnati.

Trailing by nine points at halftime and by 11 late in the second half, the Pirates were able to make things interesting, trimming the lead to as little as four in the final minutes, but never came any closer than that.

Jordan Theodore, Fuquan Edwin and Herb Pope all scored in double figures for the Pirates, but the game's leading scorer was Bearcats guard, Dion Dixon, who scored 20 points on 14 shots.

The Pirates next game is scheduled for February 21 when they host ninth-ranked Georgetown.
