Seton Hall Vs. Marquette: Pirates Try To Snap Four-Game Skid At Golden Eagles

The Seton Hall Pirates men's basketball program will try and snap a four-game losing streak Tuesday, but they'll need to do it on the road as they visit the No. 15-ranked Marquette Golden Eagles for a Big East Conference game at the Bradley Center (8 p.m. on SNY). The Pirates (15-6, 4-5 Big East) are reeling after racing off to their best start to a season since 1992-93, while the Golden Eagles (18-4, 7-2) have earned seven straight league victories.

The Pirates begin Big East play earning victories in four of their first five games helping them creep into the top 25, Jan. 9., in the AP Poll (No. 24). Since then, Seton Hall has played very poorly and Saturday's 60-51 loss, which featured Seton Hall shooting just 27.6-percent from the floor, against the Louisville Cardinals was proof that.

Currently, senior point guard Jordan Theodore leads the team in scoring with 16.1 points per game but has struggled as of late.

Meanwhile, the Golden Eagles are rolling after losing its first two league games to the Georgetown Hoyas and Syracuse Orange, respectively. On Saturday, Marquette rallied from a 18-point deficit to down earn a victory at Villanova Wildcats, 82-78.

So far this season, Marquette is 11-1 at the Bradley Center with its only loss coming against the Vanderbilt Commodores, Dec.29.

Statically, senior guard Darius Johnson-Odom is pacing the Golden Eagles in scoring with 18.5 ppg, while senior forward Jae Crowder is netting 16.4 ppg and collecting a team-best 7.4 rebounds per game.
