Cincinnati At Syracuse: Orange Trail 23-13 After Three

The 5-5 Syracuse Orange trail the 7-3 Cincinnati Bearcats 23-13 in the Carrier Dome, heading into the fourth quarter of action. Syracuse will have some work to do in the final 15 minutes if they want to avoid their fourth consecutive loss and keep hope alive for bowl eligibility.

Despite the 10-deficit the teams have played relatively similar games statistically. Cincy has 17 first downs to 'Cuse's 14. The total yards tally is 292 Cincy, 236 for Syracuse. Neither team has a turnover and both teams have accumulated 5+ penalties.

The two big differences in the team's games and the two biggest reasons Cincy owns a double-digit lead is their pass rush and third down effiecieny. Cincy has sacked Ryan Nassib four times and allowed no sacks offensively. They've also converted of five of 11 third downs, compared to two of 10 for Syracuse.

The fourth quarter of the game can be seen on ESPN3. Cincinnati will start the fourth quarter with the ball.
