Cincinnati At Syracuse: Orange Lead 3-0 After One Quarter

Sitting at 5-2 after a dominating home victory over the then 15th ranked West Virginia Mountaineers, the Syracuse Orange were sitting pretty in the Big East and well on their way to bowl eligibility. Since then the Orange have lost three consecutive games and are in serious danger of finishing the season without bowl eligibility. Today they host the 7-3 Cincinnati Bearcats, and lead 3-0 after a quarter.

The only points during the first quarter of today's game came via a 40-yard field goal from Ross Krautman less than three minutes into the game. Neither team gained over 100 total yards – 87 for the Bearcats and 65 for the Orange. Cincy has had the ball for more than twice the amount Syracuse has, but already has three penalties for 25 yards.

The remainder of the game can been seen on ESPN3. Syracuse will begin the second quarter with the football.
