On Monday, the 2011 NIT Tipoff Tournament begins as six of the eight opening-round games will take place. Syracuse University, Virginia Tech, Stanford University and Oklahoma State University will each host the first two rounds of the tournament, which is composed of 16 teams that are hoping to make it to the semifinal and final rounds at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
