Rutgers' LB Khaseem Greene and CB Logan Ryan made the 2012 preseason Bednarik Award watch list.
College football is less than two months away from its Opening Day, and that means a few things.
A) The weather is really hot.
B) Preseason award lists are being revealed so we can keep a close eye on some of the brightest stars in the 2012 season.
It's always fun to scan through the lists and find a few players from your area, and this year is no different. On Monday morning, the Bednarik Award (best defensive player) and Maxwell Award (best college football player) had their lists revealed, and a few Rutgers Scarlet Knights made the cut.
For the Bednarik Award, linebacker Khaseem Greene and cornerback Logan Ryan are players to watch. You may recall both of them were also on the Athlon Sports Preseason All-Big East First Team.
It could be a fun year to be a Scarlet Knights fan considering the amount of talent on the defensive side of the ball.
