Rutgers nets four players on the Athlon Sports All-Conference First Team while Syracuse sees a pair of it's athletes make the list as well.
In the latest Athlon Sports college football preview magazine, the Rutgers Scarlet Knights got plenty of love. No less than four Knights were picked as preseason Big East first-team members.
The Syracuse Orange didn't do too badly themselves, notching two of those spots.
Senior linebacker Khaseem Greene, sophomore offensive lineman Kaleb Johnson, junior cornerback Logan Ryan and senior defensive tackle Scott Vallone were all named to the prestigious first-team for Rutgers.
No team has a bigger share of the Big East first-team roster than Rutgers, a credit to their recent recruiting.
Syracuse boasts both junior wide receiver Alec Lemon and junior offensive lineman Justin Pugh as conference first-team players. The Orange haven't been in the national spotlight since Donovan McNabb and Dwight Freeney were on campus, but the program has slowly started to see improvement.
As for the second and third teams, the Scarlet Knights dotted the landscape with six members while Syracuse can lay claim to seven.
