NFL Draft 2012, Mohamed Sanu: Still A Late First-Round Possibility?

Stay connected for news and updates

The 2012 NFL Scouting Combine will be held in Indianapolis beginning in less than a week. As the Combine approaches let's take a look at the current draft status of Rutgers wide receiver Mohamed Sanu, widely considered to be a late-first or second-round pick in the upcoming 2012 NFL Draft this April.

  • Wes Bunting of the National Football Post has Sanu going 30th overall to the San Francisco 49ers. This has been a popular choice among early mock drafts. "The 49ers have a glaring need at the wide receiver position and could be looking to upgrade. Sanu is a monster with good quickness for his size and a real physical dimension to his game. He offers the ability to run after the catch and can contribute inside from day one," Bunting says.
  • NFL Network draft expert Mike Mayock does not list Sanu among his top five wide receivers available in the draft. The Sports Agent Blog lists Sanu tied for fifth.
