National Signing Day 2012: Rutgers Football Tops Big East Recruiting Rankings

National Signing Day 2012 is just over halfway done but for a lot of the Big East Conference football programs their 2012 recruiting year is finished, as all eight schools have pretty much a full list of commitments. The winner this year in the Big East was the Rutgers Scarlet Knights football program, which despite recent drama surrounding its head coaching position nailed down a top 25 recruiting class according to Rivals.com.

According to Rivals, Rutgers has the No. 23-best class which tops all Big East schools, as the Louisville Cardinals (No. 38), West Virginia Mountaineers (43), Pittsburgh (44), South Florida (45) and Cincy (46) trailed, respectability.

Meanwhile, 247Sports.com has: Rutgers (20), West Virginia (36), Pittsburgh (40) Louisville (46) Syracuse (50), South Florida (56), Cincinnati (57) and UConn (77).

The Scout.com's ranking look like this: West Virginia (No. 26), Cincinnati (29), Rutgers (33), Pitt (34), Louisville (41), Syracuse (50), UConn (66), USF (69).
