Rutgers hosts Connecticut on Saturday in a Big East Conference tilt.

The Rutgers men's basketball team has come away from its first two Big East matchups empty-handed. The Scarlet Knights look to change that and beat their second ranked team in the past 10 days at 8 p.m. on Saturday night against the Connecticut Huskies at the RAC.

Rutgers stunned then-No. 10 Florida in double overtime on Dec. 29, 85-83, but have lost two conference tilts since. The Scarlet Knights dropped a close one to South Florida on the road, 67-65, and followed that with a home loss to West Virginia, 85-64.

UConn started its Big East slate with two victories, but fell in a surprise to Seton Hall on Tuesday night. Seton Hall closed the first half with a 16-3 run to beat the Huskies for the first time in 11 meetings, 75-63. UConn's loss snapped a seven-game winning streak.

Jeremy Lamb leads the Huskies with 18.9 points per game. Eli Carter paces Rutgers with an average of 13.9 points.
