Eli Carter continued his strong Big East Conference play, pouring in 17 points in a Rutgers home upset over Cincinnati on Saturday evening.
Myles Mack and Dana Miller each added 10 points, and Rutgers put the clamps on the Bearcats, holding them to just 23 first half points and 35.7% shooting for the game. The win moves Rutgers to 4-5 in the Big East, and marked their second conference win at home this season.
Yancy Gates had 16 for Cincinnati, who has now last 3 straight games after winning 10 of their previous 11. The Bearcats remain a game ahead of Rutgers in conference play, and they're one of five teams with four Big East losses.
Rutgers will travel to Providence College on Wednesday night to take on the last place Friars.
