Rutgers Athletic Director Tim Pernetti Holding Press Conference After Football Coach Greg Schiano Leaves For Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Rutgers athletic director Tim Pernetti will hold a press conference at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday after reports that Greg Schiano has left the Scarlet Knights football program to become Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach, the school announced.

The press conference will be streamed on RVision on the school's athletic home page, and two players will speak.

Schiano officially signed a five-year deal to succeed Raheem Morris on the Tampa Bay sideline. His hiring was seen as a surprise, but the Buccaneers reportedly had two separate meetings with Schiano and kept him in sights throughout the entire coaching search.

The Rutgers program is left with a number of questions, among them how this will impact recruiting (national signing day is less than a week away) and who will succeed Schiano.
