2012 College Football schedule: Big East again comes down to final weekend

The Big East's BCS bowl bid will come down to a meeting between Louisville and Rutgers on Thursday night.

The Rutgers Scarlet Knights' battle with the Louisville Cardinals for the Big East's BCS bowl bid highlights the college football season's final weekend as teams jockey for position in the upcoming bowl season.

The showdown between Rutgers and Louisville is among a slate of games that could go a long way toward deciding many of the bowl season's 35 matchups, including whether the Pittsburgh Panthers will be bowl eligible come the end of the week.

Elsewhere, teams from around the country will look to secure spots in the bowl season as the season winds down in conference championship games and all-important season finales. Here are the key Big East meetings for the weekend:

Louisville Cardinals vs. Rutgers Scarlet Knights, Nov. 29, 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN

Cincinnati Bearcats vs. Connecticut Huskies, Dec. 1, 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC
