NCAA Football rankings, Week 9: Rutgers No. 15 in Coaches' Poll

Scarlet Knights move up to No. 15.

The latest USA Today Coaches' Poll has been released, and the Rutgers Scarlet Knights are ranked No. 15 in the country. The Scarlet Knights (7-0, 3-0 Big East Conference) earned a 35-10 victory over the Temple Owls Saturday to remain unbeaten through seven games. This is the first time Rutgers accomplished the feat since 2006, and only the fifth time in school history.

Rutgers is the second-highest ranked Big East program, as the Louisville Cardinals (7-0) are ranked just ahead at No. 14. The Cardinals defeated the South Florida Bulls, 27-25, on Saturday. Meanwhile, the Cincinnati Bearcats, who lost to the Toledo Rockets, 29-23, fell out of the top 25 but did receive votes.

Overall, the top five teams in the Coaches' Poll remained the same, although the Florida Gators and Kansas St. Wildcats swapped positions. The Alabama Crimson Tide remain a top the rankings while the Oregon Ducks, Florida, Kansas and Notre Dame Fighting Irish round out the the top 5.
