Rutgers vs. Syracuse odds: Unbeaten Scarlet Knights favored by more than a score

Stay connected for news and updates

The No. 20 Rutgers Scarlet Knights, still undefeated to this point in the season, host the Syracuse Orange in a Big East battle that oddsmakers see the home team winning by more than a touchdown.

According to OddsShark, Rutgers opened the week as 7½-point favorites and currently the spread remains in the same spot. However, the over/under point total for the contest, which opened at 43, has been bumped a bit as it now sits at 45½ points.

The uptick in total points expected is interesting due to the uncertain status of Scarlet Knights freshman kicker Kyle Federico, who injured his hip in the second half of the team's 19-3 win over Connecticut last Saturday.

The Orange (2-3, 1-0 in the Big East), are coming off of a tight conference win over the Pittsburgh Panthers on Oct. 5, 14-13. Rutgers, on the other hand, preceded Saturday's victory over the Huskies with a road win against the Arkansas Razorbacks, 35-26.
