The New York Yankees look to avenge Thursday night's 4-3 loss as they take on the Oakland Athletics in game two of a four-game series Friday night.
The Yankees will send Ivan Nova (10-4, 4.18 ERA) to the mound, looking to improve from his last start against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. Nova took the loss as he gave up nine hits and six earned runs in six innings of work.
The Athletics will counter with Tommy Milone (9-6, 3.54 ERA), who got the win in his last start against the Minnesota Twins. Milone scattered ten hits and two earned runs in six innings of work on July 14.
