The New York Yankees look to hop back on the winning trail when they continue a four-game series with the Chicago White Sox on Friday night. (Game Time: 7:05 p.m., TV Schedule: YES)
The Yankees entered the ninth inning with a 3-1 lead on Thursday night during the series opener, but David Robertson surrendered a three-run home run to Dayan Viciedo and the White Sox escaped with a 4-3 victory. New York's ninth-inning collapse spoiled a strong start from Ivan Nova, who allowed just one earned run and six hits over 7 1/3 innings.
Adam Warren, a 24-year-old right-hander who was 5-5 with a 3.86 ERA in 15 starts this year for Triple-A Scranton-Wilkes/Barre, will make his Major League debut for the Yankees on Friday. The White Sox will counter with rookie Jose Quintana, who enters the game with a 16-inning scoreless streak.
