The New York Yankees look for their eighth consecutive victory when they meet the Washington Nationals Saturday afternoon at Nationals Park. (Game Time: 1:15 p.m. ET, TV Schedule: YES)
Andy Petitte (3-2, 2.81 ERA) will start for New York for the first time since turning 40 on Friday. The lefty needed x-rays after his previous start, when he caught a comebacker with his bare hand, but the x-rays were negative and he reportedly felt fine during a bullpen session this week.
The Nationals will counter with Jordan Zimmermann, who is a tough-luck 3-5 despite a 2.91 ERA.
New York bested Washington on Friday night, 7-2, in the series opener.
