Yankees (19-14) Vs. Mariners (15-20): Andy Pettitte Makes Return As New York Looks For Sweep Of Seattle

Stay connected for news and updates

Andy Pettitte has pitched in a lot of big games for the New York Yankees. On Sunday, however, things will be a bit different when the lefty takes the mound at Yankee Stadium for the first time in almost two years. Pettitte, who will officially complete his comeback from a one-year hiatus, will oppose the Seattle Mariners' veteran Kevin Milllwood beginning at 1:05 p.m. ET on YES Network.

Pettitte will try and help the Yankees earn a three-game sweep of the visiting Mariners, who will also try and help Millwood (0-4, 5.88 ERA) earn his first victory of the season.

On Saturday, New York used a stellar starting effort by Phil Hughes to earn its fifth victory in six games. Outfielder/designated hitter Raul Ibanez has smashed two home runs and collected five RBI in the two victories over the Mariners.
