Negotiations are still on going between the New York Yankees and Pittsburgh Pirates for right-handed veteran pitcher A.J. Burnett, but it seems that the Pirates aren't the only team interested in acquiring him. According to ESPNNewYork.com's Andrew Marchand, there are actually four teams in the running.

"The Yankees are talking with four teams, but in reality it is three," wrote Marchand Sunday. Burnett has a no-trade clause in his contract that allows him to block 10 teams. One of the clubs the Yankees have had legitimate talks with is on the list and, a person familiar with Burnett’s thinking, said that he won’t give in on that team."

Marchand says that its still "50-50" that New York will deal Burnett, but if they do, they are looking for a designated hitter in return.

"Colleague Wallace Matthews reported on Saturday that the trade with the Pirates "has legs," according to a source. Pittsburgh is still considered the favorite, but the exact deal has not been agreed upon to yet."
