Orioles vs. Yankees score update: New York and Baltimore tied after three innings

Stay connected for news and updates

The New York Yankees are tied with the Baltimore Orioles 1-1 after the third inning in Game 3 of the American League Division Series at Yankee Stadium.

Both Hiroki Kuroda and Miguel Gonzalez are pitching well, with the lone runs coming off a one-out home run by second baseman Ryan Flaherty in the top of the third and Derek Jeter's two-out triple in the bottom of the frame.

Kuroda has looked very solid for New York, allowing only three hits: the blast to Flaherty and two singles by Nate McLouth. Kuroda has also done a great job of being economical with his pitches, only throwing 43 to this point.

Gonzalez was sailing along early before surrendering a lead-off double in the third to Russell Martin. Then with two strikes on Jeter, The Captain was able to drill a fastball into the right-center field gap.

The Orioles will have Chris Davis, Adam Jones and Matt Wieters due up in the fourth.
