Former Texas Rangers owner Tom Hicks said his decision to give Alex Rodriguez a record-setting $252 million contract a decade ago was “dumb.”

Yes, the Yankees are glad to have Rodriguez now. It’s too bad, though, that it took Hicks 10 years to figure out the stupidity of the deal he handed Rodriguez.
