Red Bulls Vs. Impact Final Score: Montreal Defeats New York, 3-1

Stay connected for news and updates

Things didn't go well for the New York Red Bulls on Saturday when they traveled to face the Montreal Impact, a team they'd defeated twice already this season. Montreal defeated New York, 3-1, in game which the Red Bulls made plenty of errors and didn't control the middle of the field like they wanted to.

The Red Bulls went down 1-0 three minutes into the second half on Marco Di Vaio's first MLS goal. Just two minutes later, Davy Arnaud added to Montreal's lead with a score of his own, putting the Red Bulls into a 2-0 deficit.

Some NY fans are arguing that Arnaud's goal should not have counted, saying he was in an offside position when a camera angles seemed to show Roy Miller take a step backward as Arnaud began his run toward the box. Nevertheless, Sanna Nyassi scored Montreal's third goal after Thierry Henry gave the Red Bulls their only score of the game.

Next up for NY is against the Houston Dynamo at new the BBVA Compass Stadium.
