Red Bulls Vs. Sounders Final Score: Sebastien Le Toux Scores In New York Debut In 2-2 Draw

The New York Red Bulls drew with the Seattle Sounders, 2-2, on Sunday at Red Bull Arena.

The Red Bulls found themselves down just 16 minutes into the match when Adam Johansson's cross was slotted home in the penalty area with a sliding shot by Alvaro Fernandez. New York's newly acquired striker Sebastien Le Toux scored eight minutes later when he pounced on a rebound given up by Sounders goalkeeper Bryan Meredith.

After halftime in the 61st minute, Joel Lindpere put the Red Bulls up 2-1 with a run that turned his defender inside out at the top of the area before he curled a ball along the ground around Meredith. Fredy Montero equalized six minutes later when he hit the ball first time on a cross into the area from Brad Evans.

Another new acquisition who made an immediate impact for New York on Sunday was goalkeeper Bill Gaudette. He made three excellent saves in the draw.

New York Designated Player Rafael Marquez was replaced in the 21st minute with a left calf injury. The team had no update on the extent of the injury by the end of the match.

The Red Bulls (9-5-5) will play their next match on Wednesday against the Chicago Fire (9-6-4) at Red Bull Arena.
