Mets Vs. Orioles Final: New York Blanks Baltimore At Citi Field, 5-0

The New York Mets won the second of their three-game series with the Baltimore Orioles by a final score of 5-0 on Tuesday night at Citi Field.

Johan Santana (5-3) got the start on the mound for New York and picked up his fifth win of the season as he pitched six complete innings while giving up four hits and no earned runs with two walks and five strikeouts. The combined shutout came one night after R.A. Dickey of the Mets shut out the Oioles on just one hit. The Mets have eight shutouts this season, most in the National League.

The Mets offense was led by Jordany Valdespin and Lucas Duda who contributed two RBIs each while Daniel Murphy contributed one.

The final game of this series will take place on Wednesday night with first pitch at 7:10 p.m. ET.
