The New York Yankees have signed pitcher, John Maine, to a minor league contract, according to Andrew Marchand of ESPN New York,

Maine – most-notably of the New York Mets – most recently pitched in the Colorado Rockies farm system. In 2011, Maine threw 46 innings for the Rockies Triple A affiliate, sporting an inflated ERA of 7.43.
Maine has a career 41 wins, with an ERA of 4.35. His fastball has fluctuated greatly throughout his time in the bigs. During his prime his fastball sat in the 91-92 range, but dropped to 88.7 in 2010 – when he last pitched in the Major League.
Maine pitched for the Mets from 2006-2010. His best season was 2007, when he went 15-10 with a 3.91 ERA.
