Schwinden has really struggled in two starts with the big club, pitching just eight innings for an 0-1 record with an 11.25 ERA. The 2-year old hasn't pitched with the Mets since May 2.
Rottino has made four plate appearances in three games with the Mets, going hitless with two strikeouts. The 32-year old utility man has fared much better from the plate with Triple-A Buffalo, hitting .307 with a .361 on-base percentage, four home runs and 25 RBI in 36 games.
The Mets start a three-game set with the Pittsburgh Pirates Monday night.
