Mets-Rockies Score: Mets Rebound Against Rockies, Win 7-5

The New York Mets rebounded from a game where the Colorado Rockies pummeled them for 18 runs, beating the Rockies 7-5.

Colorado struck first, picking up a run in the bottom of the first inning when Troy Tulowitzki grounded into a fielder's choice with Marco Scutaro at third. The Mets answered right back in the top of the second, with David Wright reaching on an infield single and Lucas Duda hitting a two run home run. The Mets added another in the third on a David Wright double.

Following their runs in the first, Colorado was hitless until the fourth inning, when Carlos Gonzales started things off with a bunt single. Gonzales advanced to third on a singly by Tulowitzki. Todd Helton hit a double, sending Gonzales home and Tulowitzki to third. Michael Cuddyer kept things going with a single, knocking in another run, and Guillermo Moscoso added one more with another RBI single. The score stood at 4-3 at the end of the fourth.

The Mets again answered immediately, getting a pair of runs on two RBI singles by Wright and Duda, taking the lead, 6-4. A passed ball in the ninth would give them one more run, leaving things at 7-4 when Frank Francisco took the mount in the ninth.

Francisco struck out Cuddyer looking, got Wilin Rosario on a ground ball, and got pinch hitter Jason Giambi on a fly to center, sealing the win for the Mets.
