The New York Knicks will open the 2012-2013 season in Brooklyn against the Nets on Nov. 1. The Knicks will also play on Christmas Day against the Los Angeles Lakers.
The New York Knicks 2012-2013 schedule along with the rest of the NBA schedule was released during prime time on NBA TV at 7 p.m. on July 26.
The Knicks learned that they would open the season in Brooklyn against the Nets at 7 p.m. on Nov. 1. New York also will travel to the west coast to play the Los Angeles Lakers at 3 p.m. on Christmas Day. The Knicks will meet the defending NBA Champion Miami Heat on four occasions this season: Nov. 2, at Miami Dec. 6, March 3 and at Miami April 2.
The Knicks have to wait until Nov. 23 to play former guard Jeremy Lin and the Houston Rockets at Houston. Lin's return to New York will be on Dec. 17 at 7:30 p.m.

Nets: at home, Dec. 19, Jan. 21, at BKN: Nov. 1, Dec. 11
Celtics: at home, Jan. 7, March 31, at BOS: Jan. 24, March 26
76ers: at home, Nov. 4, Feb. 24, at PHI: Nov. 5, Jan. 26
Raptors: at home, Feb. 13, March 23, at TOR: Feb. 22, March 22
