NBA Free Agency 2012: Grant Hill Considering Knicks As Potential Landing Spot

To build a team into an NBA title contender, most organizations prefer to build around youngsters. The New York Knicks' 2012 offseason plan seems to revolve around signing NBA veterans, including forward Grant Hill who reportedly met recently with the Knicks in Las Vegas.

According to New York Daily News writer Frank Isola, Hill is considering signing with three different teams -- the Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat. Isola says Hill's wife, Tamia, is leaning towards New York.

If Hill, who is 39 years old, decides to sign with the Knicks, New York would have two of the oldest players in the league under contract -- newly acquired big man Kurt Thomas is 39 as well. Add that the Knicks added 28-year-old point guard Raymond Felton and are seemingly going to elect to not re-sign 23-year-old Jeremy Lin, New York is doing the exact opposite of a youth movement.
