Knicks Vs. Bobcats Final Score: New York Cruises Past Hapless Charlotte, 111-78

The New York Knicks got off a six-game losing schneid, defeating a struggling Charlotte Bobcats squad, 111-78, on Tuesday night. Though the win won't save the season nor stop the calls for Mike D'Antoni's job, it will hopefully kickoff a wave of positive momentum to help bring the Knicks back to .500 on the season.

The Knicks were spurred along by a monster game from center Tyson Chandler, who shot 9-for-10 from the field for 20 points and hauled in 17 rebounds--all through the first three quarter of the game. Amare Stoudemire and Landry Fields contributed 18 points each, helping New York to 50 percent shooting from the floor for the game despite Carmelo Anthony's 0-for-7 performance. Anthony had just one point on the night, easily a season low, but did contribute 11 rebounds.

The Bobcats shot just 33 percent for the game. Kemba Walker led the team with 22 points on 7-for-17 from the field. Charlotte was not helped by 1-for-9 and 1-for-6 performances from Tyrus Thomas and Boris Diaw, respectively, nor a 53-33 rebounding advantage for New York.
