Baron Davis Injury: Knicks PG Will Practice For First Time

Baron Davis will finally get on the court with his New York Knicks teammates Monday. According to Howard Beck via Twitter, Davis is finally feeling well enough to get some practice in.

The Knicks are in desperate need of some good news. They dropped their last game to the Denver Nuggets in overtime on Saturday and have looked pathetic for most of the season.

Davis brings some hope as a former All-Star. Mike D'Antoni has to be wondering if Davis can get Amare Stoudemire going. Stoudemire has been non-existent on the offensive end of the floor, especially late in games. If Davis can spread the floor, score a few points and distribute the ball effectively, New York should be thrilled.

The backcourt has been a total disaster with Landry Fields scuffling and Toney Douglas having lost his starting spot.

Iman Shumpert has come in as a rookie and given New York some punch, but more is needed out of that group. Steve Novak and Mike Bibby have shown to be bench ornaments, but not much else at this point in the season.
