The Milwaukee Bucks handed the New York Knicks their fifth straight loss by defeating them in Madison Square Garden by a score of 100-86 on Friday night. The Knicks now have a record of 6-9 and are in eighth place in the Eastern Conference while the Bucks have a 5-9 record and are in ninth place.
The Knicks were led by Carmelo Anthony, who scored 35 points against the Bucks. Amare Stoudemire added 15 while Tyson Chandler scored 11, Landry Fields scored 10 and Iman Shumpert scored four. The Knicks didn't get much support from their bench players as Josh Harrellson, Bill Walker and Toney Douglas could only combine for 11 points off the bench.
The Bucks were led by Brandon Jennings, who outscored Anthony by one point. His 36 points allowed the Bucks to pull off the 14 point win. Shaun Livingston added 18 for the Bucks while Andrew Bogut scored 8 and Carlos Delfino added nine. Milwaukee had more support from their bench players as Drew Gooden scored 10, Luc Richard Mbah a Moute scored six, Beno Udrih scored four, ersan Ilyasova scored three, Tobias Harris score two and Mike Dunleavy added one.
Both of these teams have tough matchups coming up. The Knicks will attempt to break their five-game losing streak on Saturday, when they host the 11-5 Denver Nuggets, and the Bucks will look to win their second on in a row on the road in Miami against the Heat on Sunday.
