Good morning, New York sports fans! Here is your first look at the local sports scene.

- The New York Giants face a huge game today against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The 6-4 Giants need a victory to maintain a realistic shot at reaching the NFC playoffs. ↵
- Good thing the Syracuse Orange were already bowl eligible before Sunday's game vs. Boston College. SU lost for the third time in four games, 16-7. Syracuse had a shot at a great season a few weeks ago, but that just did not pan out. ↵
- The Atlanta Hawks snapped the New York Knicks' five-game winning streak. That's not a huge surprise since the Hawks were the only team with a winning record the Knicks played during that stretch. ↵
- The New Jersey Nets could not handle the Philadelphia 76ers in Philly Saturday night. The 102-86 loss again showed that the Nets just cannot score consistently. ↵
- The Rangers and Devils both won in shootouts on Saturday. ↵
