Stay connected for news and updates

New York Jets center Nick Mangold's sister, Holley Mangold, will compete with the 2012 London Olympics with the United States' weightlifting team. Unfortunately for brother and sister, Nick Mangold confirmed Tuesday with the NFL Network that he will not take time off from Jets training camp in early August to see his sister compete.

Head coach Rex Ryan reportedly gave Mangold the go-ahead to jump across the pond, but Mangold said he wasn't sure he would be willing to take the time off from practice.

Holley Mangold, reportedly weighing in at 374 pounds, will compete in the super heavyweight division. She initially began training with her sights set on making the 2016 Olympics, but made fast gains in her lifts this year to make here way onto Team USA.
