2012 NFL Draft Grades: Analyzing The AFC East [VIDEO]

How did the New York Jets fare in the 2012 NFL Draft in comparison to their competition in the AFC East? Well, let's look at NFL Draft Grades for all four teams in the division. Below, SB Nation football analysts offer their perspective. Before we get to that, however, some quick thoughts on the work done by each team.

New York Jets -- High-risk, high-reward choices in the first round for New York. The success or failure of this draft for the Jets is entirely dependent upon whether defensive end Quinton Coples (Round 1) and wide receiver Stephen Hill (Round 2) boom or bust. [Full List Of Picks]

New England Patriots -- Great work in the first round, trading up to grab defensive end Chandler Jones and linebacker Dont'a Hightower. A curious pick in the third round, safety Tavon Wilson. Great value in the seventh round with cornerback Alfonzo Dennard. New England dramatically improved its talent on defense. [Full List Of Picks]

Miami Dolphins -- Miami went for its quarterback of the future with the eight overall pick. If Ryan Tannehill pans out this is a great draft. Excellent value for the Dolphins with offensive tackle Jonathan Martin in Round 2, tight end Michael Egnew in Round 3 and running back Lamar Miller in Round 4. [Full List Of Picks]

Buffalo Bills -- Cornerback Stephen Gilmore was great value for Buffalo with the 10th overall pick, and finding offensive lineman Cordy Glenn still available in Round 2 was a stroke of luck for the Bills. Third-round pick T.J. Graham offers speed and tremendous upside as a wide receiver. Fourth-round pick Nigel Bradham and fifth-round pick Tank Carder, both linebackers, are intriguing.
