2012 NFL Mock Drafts: David DeCastro Projected To New York Jets

Stay connected for news and updates

The 2012 NFL Draft is quickly approaching, and mock drafts are finally buttoning-up to try to come up with the best projections possible. A new selection has surfaced for the New York Jets, as Pro Football Talk's Evan Siva has them taking Stanford's guard David DeCastro with the No. 16-overall pick on Thursday.

DeCastro (6-foot-5, 310 pounds) is a three-year starter at Standford, who was a unanimous All-American selection in 2011. DeCastro is considered one of the top gaurd prospects in the draft and would be an immediate-impact player for the Jets, if they selected him there.

However, Siva's projection is a different from other mock drafts that have New York taking Alabama linebacker Courtney Upshaw, Alabama running back Trent Richardson or Notre Dame wide receiver Michael Floyd.
