The New York Giants cut running back Brandon Jacobs today in a move meant to clear salary cap space. Almost as soon as he heard the news Bart Hubbuch of the New York Post tweeted that Jacobs "would be a legitimately smart pickup for the New York Jets. A good fit for Tony Sparano's run-oriented offense."

Is Hubbuch right, Jets fans? Or, has he lost his mind? Even if he is right, could you stomach the thought of the mouthy Jacobs?

Remember Jacobs' on-field confrontation with Rex Ryan after the Giants defeated the Jets on Christmas Eve? Jacobs said recently that he had no hard feelings from that incident and would play for the Jets -- which is exactly what you would expect a guy who knew he might be needing a job to say.
