The New York Jets are reportedly interested in acquiring free agent safety LaRon Landry, according to Yahoo! Sports' Jason Cole.
Cole reports that the Chicago Bears and Philadelphia Eagles are also interested in the talented safety, who has been plagued by injuries for the past two seasons. The Washington Redskins, for whom Landry played the first five seasons of his career, also reportedly want to retain Landry's services.
Landry, who definitely eats his spinach, had 35 tackles, 1.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery last season while suiting up for just eight games. The 27-year old has started all 64 games in his career, racking up 290 tackles, four interceptions and 5.5 sacks.
If Landry does end up with the Jets, he could become a teammate of Brandon Jacobs, who's also interested in signing with Rex Ryan's crew. The two have a little, ahem, history:
