New York Jets safety Jim Leonhard took to Twitter earlier today to update his progress on his rehab on his injured knee. He also said that he wanted a new contract.
Update:10 weeks out from surgery and every day is better than the last. In the rehab world that's a win. Now I just need a new contract.

The veteran safety is an unrestricted free agent. At the very end of 2011, Leonhard said he was certain he would make a full recovery for the 2012 season from the torn patellar tendon which ended his season.
He also said
"I'm 100 percent confident that I'm going to be playing football somewhere next year," Leonhard said. "Obviously with the history here, you'd like it to be here, but you never know." (via NY Post)
